Ambleside Online is a free curriculum designed to be as close as possible to the curriculum that Charlotte Mason used in her own PNEU schools. Our goal is to be true to Charlotte Mason's high literary standards. Ambleside Online uses the highest quality books and costs no more than the cost of texts. The curriculum uses as many free online books as possible, and there is no cost to use this information.

This curriculum is designed for teachers who want to integrate the topic of invasive weeds in the classroom, develop weed awareness, and provide students in grades K to 12 with an understanding of the serious problem of invasive weeds.
Invasive weeds are a problem that affects all communities, regardless of whether invasive weeds exist in your community. Invasive weeds are the single most serious threat to biodiversity that our country faces today. As invasive weeds out-compete native plants, wildlife habitat is destroyed and degraded, soil erodes, and the aesthetic value of land decreases. Invasive weeds are also an economic burden, costing landowners and government agencies billions of dollars annually to control weeds and in the loss of crops and forage.

The site looks like it was designed with older students
and adults in mind. However, when you learn a new language you are a beginner. So, even young children can listen and learn along with mom and dad. Non-readers will need assistance.

This website provides "online language learning at the amazing price of....free!" You can learn Spanish, Greek, Italian, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, and even Pig Latin at your own pace using a variety of helpful features including:

*Audio of Native Speakers who help you to say words, phrases, and sentences with correct pronunciation.

*Phonetic transcriptions that help users with reading and pronunciation
throughout each lesson.

*Relevant and Real Conversations that focus on modern and practical
experiences.

*Note Slides that provide insight into grammar and cultural customs.

*Memory Building Exercises through strategically placed quizzes to provide continual reinforcement of language skills.

*and much more!

You must register your name and email address in order to use Mango. The programs that you will need to use Mango (such as Flash Player) can bedownloaded for free at the website.

NOTE: While the lessons are free, you will see random advertisements on the left and right side of your screen as you progress through the lessons. The ads generate income for the site and that allows Mango to provide the content for free. Because the ads are randomly generated by a bot, parents (as always) should supervise use of this site to oversee the content and the advertising material.
